Its been a while . . . .

Well, 2 months in to the tour, and I've still managed to avoid spoilers about the setlist - can I keep it up?  I really, really want the 1st gig to be a surprise.

I'm off to see The Bourne Ultimatum tonight.  I'm incredibly excited, and a tad nervous too as I'm a big fan of this series of films.  But as this re-unites Paul Greengrass and Matt Damon, I have high hopes.  I probably feel the way about this 'final instalment' as Potter fans did waiting for the final book release.

Its the Peterborough beer festival next week - I'm hopefully going to pop along the Wednesday night.

Wifey's birthday on Sunday - pressies sorted, just need to get a card and flowers . . . . .

Scandinavian Monkey Business tour nearly sorted, just need to get off my ample arse and source a hotel in Helsinki.
Standing in the shadows, hiding from the light
Reach out in the darkness, and hold on for your life
All the fear of the future, all the emptiness inside
When the moment of truth arrives, hey, you can run but you can't hide

Hells flaming bells but time is just a whizzing whizzingly by.

I just hope things slow down a bit when Saturday comes around (Sheffield), or this tour is going to fly by much too fast.

Definite time for a Time Stand Still moment.

"Time stand still --
Im not looking back
But I want to look around me now
See more of the people
And the places that surround me now"

Of course, if Tom Garrett is about, it could well be:

"I turn my back to the wind".

Well, what a week that was!

Sheffield (good), surprise trip to Wembley II (better), surprise trip to EuCon (wifey talked me into it - did I mention she's the best thing that's ever happened to me?), culminating in the fantastic MEN Arena gig (best).

Really, REALLY terrific to meet so many tnms'ers along the way (old and new friends).  That really is what its all about.
