Another week over.

At a first birthday party this afternoon, then to the golf club for some billiard practice.

NO NO young Neph.  We pay a subscription to our Recreation Association.  It is totally funded by it's members.

BTW, I got to the final but got whupped.

Still, got a nice runners-up medal and I now qualify for the British Championships in Great Yarmouth in May. ;D  [smiley=beer.gif] [smiley=beer.gif] [smiley=beer.gif]

Very strange day today.  Found out this morning that a guy who I work with and consider a good friend's 18 year old daughter was murdered yesterday.  I have never met her but she has been in my thoughts all day.  Haven't contacted my friend as he'll obviously have far too much to be doing and thinking.  Someone has been arrested for the murder and by reading the newspapers it appears to be her boyfriend.  Very sad.

On a brighter note, sat and watched the rugby with a few beers/wines/JDs and it lifted me a bit.

WOW

Been months since I posted here.

Gebs and I are heading off to Newcastle this morning to help out Ash with his Tribute weekend at Newcastle Racecourse.  Really looking forward to it.

Will let you all know how it went on my return.

SUPERB!!

A great weekend was had by all.

Viva Santana
Rumours Of Fleetwood Mac
Bootleg Beatles
Beach Boys UK
Illegal Eagles
One Night Of Queen

Were all superb with the Queen trib being utterly amazing.  The singer is the bloke that won Stars In Their Eyes a few years ago.  They were all solid blokes (They are Scottish) and Gebs and I shared a few beers with them.  Gebs then discovered the drummer stays very close to him.

Ash and his business partners should be very proud of themselves for arranging what turn out to be a brilliant couple of days.  This event can only go from strengh to strength and would be a great idea for a TNMS session.

If you're a Queen fan check the link and listen to a couple of samples,  unbelievable.

Forgot I had this wee bit for spouting forth.

Anyway.

It's a strange time in Casa Dixkot.  Wifey left yesterday for the Dominican Republic with her 3 pals.  They are off there to celebrate their 40th birthdays.

So far (when the cat's away, and all that) it's been very loud music and a few good batters at the guitar.;D

Friday was the 2nd time ever that I've had to get the girls up and out to school on my own!!!!  Think I managed to send them off looking normal.  Surprised myself in being able to handle hair straighteners.  Tried the ponytails but made them look as if they'd been dragged through a hedge backwards.

Don't really know what I'll get up to next week.  5 days of an empty house.................;D

I'll keep you posted.

Oh...bough a Tassimo coffe machine yesterday......SUPERB
