Its a tremendous record , but not sure having 6 identical shows is necessary .... Bit like the golden days of roio trading I guess
I'm older than I wish to be

Slim

Does seem a bit unnecessary for all but the most ardent UFO nerd. There's already a CD edition out with more content from the same shows than the old vinyl.

I wonder if the full recordings for the two ATWAS gigs in June '76 still exist? I'd love to hear those.

£38.00 for this is a steal. Loving the extra shows. Really raw.  What a live band they were..

On the subject of UFO, here is another gem from YouTube - The Story Of UFO: Too Hot To Handle

Features some nice fanboy stuff from Leppard and Maiden. I've not watched it all yet but contains some great live footage of the No Heavy Petting line up. Schenker is such a meticulous player - outstanding stuff.

Just listened to the Youngstown show. Looking at the whole package got me thinking, I wonder why they were so keen to include Mother Mary and This Kid's that they had to record them both 'live' in the studio? For me, those two songs have always been the two I'm less keen on. Considering the half a dozen or so other great tracks that exist here, it's weird why they went to the trouble.
It may be an interesting exercise (for some) to see how easy/difficult it is to identify the versions that made it onto the original release. They were so good live, I imagine choosing gave Ron Nevison a huge headache!

On Qobuz, if you start at the beginning, the whole edition will play through continuously. Effectively, nine shows!

What's Qobuz like? I've only ever used Tidal for HiRes streaming

I like it. I've only occasionally been unable to find what I'm looking for. I was led to believe it's a better platform for more obscure stuff than Spotify or Tidal.
I only stream in CD quality. Partly because my set up (old iPad/ Arcam rDock/Teac DAC) is unable to resolve hi-res and partly to prevent me avoiding anything that's not in hi-res. It costs me £14.99 per month. I think they are doing a promotion on hi-res at the moment. I don't think you'd be disappointed. I swear it's a more comfortable listen than most CDs.

Cheers for that🙂

Tidal has been adding more master quality albums to it's catalogue recently and when my subscription came up for renewal I did consider an alternative, especially as it's more expensive than Qobuz🙁, but in the end plumped for what I knew.

At the moment, and until I can decorate the room where my audio equipment will be set up, I only listen to music through playing CDs in the car or by streaming Tidal on my phone, so I'm very limited in terms of being able to improve the Audio quality of what I listen to.

I recently bought an Audioquest Dragonfly Cobalt DAC/Pre amp/Headphone Amp and, along with the USB Audio Player Pro software that was recommended with it, and have to say (with quality recordings) it's made a very discernable difference to the depth, positioning and accuracy of the soundstage and the separation and clarity of individual instruments, it's a tiny, USB stick sized bit of hardware but it really does an incredible job and the USB Audio Player Pro software is equally impressive in terms of its upscaling of MQA files when streaming
