I treated myself to an IMAX 3D showing of this.

What a treat it was too. Outstanding science fiction popcorn entertainment. This year's "Ready Player One" if you will.

Side note: the IMAX intro was spectacular too - I guess the novelty wears off once you've seen it a few times, but this was the 1st time I'd seen it. A definite WOW experience. The last time I saw a 3D IMAX film was Tom Hanks' "Magnificent Desolation: Walking On The Moon" back in 2005 in Amsterdam and I'm pretty sure that things have improved since then.

I wonder how many years we will have to wait for the sequel? To Alita I mean, not Magnificent Desolation.

It seems to me that its all about the presentation these days when it comes to going to see a film at the cinema. The quality of the film and the script doesn't seem to matter so much.
