For all of you Sky customers, this programme is a 4 parter on SKy Arts.

And, as the name suggests, its about drumming. Lots of drummers talking about styles, who influenced them, who they think are the best/most influential etc

Its not supposed to be a "who is the best drummer", so before Zoony has a meltdown because Peart comes in at number 13 in the final reckoning, its just a list.

Very, very enjoyable programme though, even for someone like me who cant stand drum solos.

The Professor at 13?! They don't know what they're talking about then.

Nick

I think possibly for his composition and showmanship skills, the technical ability aspect is owned by other drummers.

Everybody's got to evalate from the norm.

Zoony did you not even read this bit!?
Over thinking, over analyzing separates the body from the mind. Withering my intuition, missing opportunities and I must feed my will to feel my moment drawing way outside the lines.

As is Peart.

Fascinating show although I must admit quite a bit went over my head.  It got very technical at times. But who knew that Jeff Porcaro was so highly regarded and his drumming on Africa so revered?
You can check out any time you like but you can never leave!

Always thought everyone did?  ;)

Blundell comes over as a really, really nice guy (as do all of them to be fair)

The feller who was the drummer for the Specials is really good to listen to, great knowledge about all genres of music, and can obviouisly play!

Jeff died in a bizarre gardening accident, sadly.
