He's not won it yet. Still plenty of time for him to cycle into a lamp post or other random thing at the side of the road...

G's won now :)

Well done to a true Brit!

Nice to hear Dan Martin's dulcet Irish tones speaking about being the most combative rider

Difficult language to spell Welsh innit?
Even worse to pronounce. No wonder they all call him G.

I doubt it will be Froome, unless he's recovered fully....
Thomas's whole year has been designed around peaking for July. Not sure that he'll be up to a repeat for the Vuelta

What a fantastic race and a very popular result...
Roglic's failure to manage a decent TT (or should that read Froome's excellent performance) meant that I lost a few quid overall on my race bets (only managed an each way win for Dumoulin), but I had 3 weeks of entertainment following my riders through the twists and turns of the tour

Wouldn't say a great tour, but certainly a Geraint one!
Really enjoyed  the Roubaix stage. Would Porte have been able to challenge? Doubt it. Nibali seemed a shadow of himself before he got crocked, think he did too many classics.

Less than four weeks to the Vuelta :)

Cant see Thomas going to the vuelta, unless they decide his form is not just a fleeting thing. Its tough to work out how much the Tour took out of him, he always looked quite fresh, but I guess you do when you are winning.

I imagine Sky will want one of Froome or Thomas there though, not sure who else would be a natural leader.
