Dave Pearce Trance Anthems 2010
Dug this out for re-appraisal and for a break of genre, so to speak. There's 3 CDs totalling 60 tracks in the mix here, so inevitably there's quite a bit of filler; there are established trance/dance classics given mostly pointless remix treatments, including a bafflingly lame interpretation of Paul Van Dyk's For An Angel (one of those ubiquitous dance tracks frequently used on the telly), but the good stuff is really, really good, with Reflekt's sublime Need To Feel Loved and Neptune Project's extraordinarily stirring Aztec being examples of the genre at its pinnacle and highly worthy of investigation to the lay person.
