After a very long hiatus (25 years I imagine)
I'm listening to Supertramp's very first album.

Neither Hodgson or Davies wrote any of the lyrics although they shared singing duties. Hodgson actually played bass.

Richard Palmer played guitar and wrote the lyrics. He went onto write lyrics for King Crimson (among others).

The album is fairly simple melodically and has a melancholy feel to it but I'm absolutely loving it!

(In general I'm listening to a lot more music at the moment as I'm totally worn out with Brexit talk). Spotify is my saviour!
You can check out any time you like but you can never leave!

Metallica - Helping hands..live & acoustic at the Masonic
This is ehm..different. Most songs have very different arrangements up to the point where they are barely recognizable. I think I like it. Have to listen a few times more though.

Was reminded of this a couple of week ago and finally got round to digging it out of the CD racks...great stuff, although only for me and possibly Kurtzy around these parts  ;)

I have it on good authority that Beth is a lovely lady, but I've always found her vocals a bit whiney....not heard that before, but will have a check out...

Currently listening to the Thunder acoustic thing....looking forward to Wednesday's show...blows my mind the first time I saw them was march-ish 1990....blimey.
