What a damn jolly good idea!
What a damn jolly good idea for an album to synch too :)

Now, has anyone got a damn jolly god idea as to how I can persuade Mrs S that our Wedding anniversary is on the 21st?

Send me your comments in advance and I'll post them for you  ;D ::)

Whose daft idea was the 10pm start?

I'm having to hold off on my Friday night boozing here or I'd be asleep by 9.

So just wondering - Elvis died August 1977 - Rush Release A Farewell to Kings September 1977 - surely not a tip of the hat to the King of Rock'n'Roll ??

I think not, because it was released a mere 15 days after Elvis checked out. And (just checked), Neil wrote a piece that's included in a press kit dated August 10th 1977, that refers to the album title. Which come to think of it is also printed in that tour book I gave you all those years ago.

I listened to AFTK only this year, actually - in the course of an exercise to listen through the whole Rush studio canon while cycling. I still don't like it, yet I do have a grudging affection for it - it's been improved by a patina of nostalgia, furnished by the many times I listened to it as a teenager, trying to like it. Time and time again I listened to it, hoping that it would just "click". Eventually I was forced to conclude that I wasn't missing anything, it really is a poor record unfortunately.

And that really saddened me, because it was my first "new" Rush record, the first one to be released since I became a fan. No getting round it, my favourite band had dropped a clunker on me.

But that made the thrill of Hemispheres, a year later, all the sweeter.

Evening James, evening Keith.

Evening Rich - just poured myself a large Jack - feel free to join me in a glass - no ice and straight of course!

Just wondering what format we are listening on tonight. I've just spent half and hour burning some Rush CD's to my Walkman so might play from there through headphones.
Maria is in the room and thinks I'm a bit nuts doing this whole sync thing so the Hi Fi CD Player is out of the question. ;D

Only got some red wine, don't know what it is. Except red. Evening!
