NFL 2017
« on: September 14, 2017, 08:39:59 AM »
New season has kicked off and The Steelers game was on TV Sunday at their old rivals The Cleveland Browns in the end Steelers scrapped a 21-18 win despite giving away something like 135 yards in penalties - you certainly can't hope to do well in a season or win many games giving away that sort of distance so the team need to brush up on their holding tactics pretty quick.

Other scores of note - The Bills beat the Jets 21-12  ;) , The Falcons put their Superbowl debacle behind them and won 23-17 against Chicago, Seahawks lost to Packers 9-17 and the 49ers went down 3-23 against The Panthers, Dallas beat NY Giants 19-3 the Rams had a massive 46-9 victory over The Colts and NE Patriots started their season losing 27 - 42 to The Chiefs.

Steelers play The Vikings at Heinz Field this weekend so will be hoping for a home win.

Divisional Playoffs yesterday :-

Falcons 10
Eagles 15

Titans 14
Patriots 35

Jaguars 45
Steelers 42

Saints 24
Vikings 29

Conference finals line-up as :-

Jaguars vs Patriots
Saints vs Vikings

Hard to see beyond The Pats winning the SB again sadly, although if The Vikings make it through they will be the first team in SB history to play in the final at their home ground which must count for something.

Watched The Steelers game last night and reckon it was the highest scoring game I have seen - Steelers never gave up, scoring in literally the last second of the game but sadly the Jaguars started really well and Steelers were always playing catch-up. Some very dodgy play decisions didn't help - those offside kicks rarely work.......

What a game....managed to stay up for the first half and caught the second half this morning...

Well played Eagles - fully deserved victory and one of the bravest calls you'll see...
