Katy Perry - I can forgive the horribly weak, whiny and constantly pitchy vocals (she's not up there for her voice after all), but what I fail to understand is how someone gets away with pop songs of such poor, plasticky quality.  Not even sexy anymore - looks like a chav who's been thrown into a pool of glitter.
Cracking arse

Foo Fighters don't leave much in the locker do they?

Yes, Foo Fighters have brought their A-game tonight.

Do you think busker Sheeran is watching and wondering how he's supposed to follow this?  I expect he's counting on not being let down by his looper pedal.

Tom Sawyer encore?
That would send a good many back to their tents, no doubt  ;D

Foos were very good, loved their cover of Under Pressure.

Alt-J are headlining The Other Stage tonight.  Now, I'm no fan (quite the opposite) but they have a place in local folklore, as they once played at a wonderful (and sadly currently closed) pub in Sowerby Bridge called The Puzzle Inn to exactly 12 people; a couple of years later they were collecting their Mercury Music Prize.

I've played at The Puzzle and there were more than twelve people there, which of course tells you all you need to know about the state of British music. ::) ;)

He's apparently become some kind of folk hero.

Amazing what spurious promises of free money can do.

And this is the man who sacked Hilary Benn!  Deary me, the world's gone mad.

Say what you want but he's running a brilliant PR campaign.

Those comparing him to Michael Foot have proved to be very mistaken.

He's certainly proved me wrong.

Undoubtedly.  He's tapped into something that the Tories couldn't hope to.

Whether that's for better or worse remains to be seen.

I'd have to concur with the consensus re Katy Perry's arse.  So nice to see a woman shaped like a woman and not like a stick.  Lovely.  Zero talent, mind.

Foo Fighters were absolutely brilliant, I thought.  One of the best live bands in the world, even if they can be erratic on record.

Nice of Barry Gibb and Nile Rogers to add a touch of class to compensate for what's coming later.

Yeah - killers, fantastic.

Mr Gibb was good - and seemed a lovely bloke to boot.
