Hi there,

we are a few mates travelling to Edinburgh in Oct-17 to play a few rounds of golf, where should we stay?

we have not booked any golf yet, so maybe a nice hotel downtown is the best??

cheers

Hotels are pretty expensive in Edinburgh and since I live here I've never stayed in one but you could look at these.

Motel One - very centrally located and literally 5 meters away from one the best pubs in Edinburgh.

Pub is the Guildford Arms. http://www.scotlandspubsandbars.co.uk/location/the-guildford-arms/

Also very central

Lots of nightlife and pubs in the Grassmarket.

There are a few Premier Inns (British budget hotel chain). All of these are central.

If you want to spend a lot of money

Also look at Jury's Inn and Radisson Blu.
Let me know where are you are looking at and I can tell you about the area they are in.
