A nice chap/friend at Universal sent me the Vinyl edition... Cooooor it's lovely :D

Just saw it in HMV, a snip at 70 quid  :o
It weighs a ton right enough.

That seems to be a typical marketing gimmick - unfortunately, weight does not equal quality.

Saw it in Fopp at the weekend same price can't see the justification in pricing it so high ,wait around a couple of months it'll come down in price  ;)

I bought mine a few weeks ago. Very interesting to hear the alternative Massey Hall recordings, especially in that they don't quite have the atmosphere of the ATWAS renditions we know and love. I quite liked the covers, especially the AiC effort. But not really enough to return to them after a first listen.

The deluxe box set version (2CD 1DVD Vinyl album + extras) is £56.66 on Amazon today. Not sure what Amazon's starting price was but if I remember Burning Shed were selling it for £199 when it first came out last year!

Apologies for not including the Amazon link, I only checked this thread again this afternoon.

In all my years of buying records/CDs I don't remember an item reducing in price quite so quickly & dramatically. To be honest it was way overpriced to begin with but I feel a bit gutted for anyone who shelled out full price pre-Xmas.
If the record company had priced it a little more sensibly to start with they probably would have sold more copies & at the same time avoided the possibility of (now) really annoying those early purchasers.

Gone up to £73 now.

Had it in my basket for £53 and hummed and hahhed, contemplated returning the CD/DVD set I got last week.....and then decided I couldnt really be arsed.
