Got one but it's not much cop. Most of the services seem to be American or available on any smart TV. What it is good for is AirPlay so you can play stuff on your iPhone or iPad on your TV.

that's the main reason i was thinking about it... to stream stuff from my server via iphone/ipad to telly..

just been googling...  other apps will work... sounds just the job for me..

Some apps don't allow AirPlay but others do. I don't think NowTV does, can't remember which ones wouldn't work. YouTube definitely worked.

Siri voice control and the ability to download some third party apps seem the main add-ons.

It's a 3rd gen I've got. Not sure the extra cash for. 4th gen would be worth it.
