I made a cameo appearance in the end - very glad I did.

It took a lot of elenventh hour diplomatic negotions and much putting of ducks in a row; this revolved around yours truly putting the little Miss to bed at 6pm, driving from West Yorkshire to Crewe, seeing everyone I wanted to see, hugely enjoying Bravado's set, then driving back home, arriving just before the little un awoke for a feed at 2am.  And I don't think she suspected a thing. :)

Well what a cracking weekend that was! Great to meet up with so many good people I've discovered on here over the years, and to drink, eat and be merry rocking out to the music of our favourite band from 3 cracking tribute bands. I stopped in The Waverley hotel, sharing with Blastzone. Fair play to him for putting up with my snoring and getting up at 4-15 on the Sunday morning to let me into the hotel. The bands got better over the weekend, starting with Rushed on the Friday,  Clockwork Angels on Saturday afternoon with our own Willie doing a sterling job on bass, and then Bravado on the evening, who blew us away with a setlist that included the whole of side one from Hemispheres and 2112. It was the first EUCON I'd been to since 2007, but I don't intend on missing another. A big shout out to the people who organised it as well, for all the hard work they put in. You know who you are, and it's greatly appreciated.

Ditto mate; must apologise as it's been so long since I've seen you I don't think I recognised you!  Bugger...I'll atone for this next time. :)
