As I understand it, a Fire Stick is legal, the Kodi software is legal (although that has presumably not been tested in court) but the add-ons which allow you to view subscription channels and movies are almost certainly illegal and in contravention of copyright law. However, I suspect the likelihood of anyone being prosecuted for using one will be pretty low.

That's pretty much the way I understand it. Some people I know only run the programs via a VPN to cover their tracks on the WWW but I really think the chance of a punter being prosecuted are very very low. To start with they need to take down all the Amazon Third Party Sellers selling "loaded" sticks.

I think that if Sky or whoever kick off about it then it will only draw more attention to it, hence the relatively low word of mouth profile.
Everybody's got to evalate from the norm.

ended up resetting mine back to factory settings and started again.. loaded up Fire TV Guru which i then wanted rid of immediately...
I had a minor irritant with the size of the skin on my tv but ran the settings thing to resize and it's been fine ever since (this was the full wookie build not the lite one )

Asking on behalf of a friend  ::) :P *** cough ***.......Anyone else have a lip sync issue when watching via Kodi? " they" to get a minor but noticeable difference - doesn't matter in action sequences but face close up dialogue is a bit off-putting...I know it's free and all......

Flippancy aside there is a menu for sound which will alter the speed of vocals to picture ,if your using the firestick it's the top right hand button in the row of 3 with 3 parallel lines on it will bring the menu up and it's fairly self explanatory from there .

I believe there are ways to do it but it's more complicated than for Android users - this may help

I think a lot depends which version of the ios you are running. I don't own any Apple Products so don't know first hand.

You might want to take a look at mobdro (live tv streaming) - I believe that is available for ios.
Standing in the shadows, hiding from the light
Reach out in the darkness, and hold on for your life
All the fear of the future, all the emptiness inside
When the moment of truth arrives, hey, you can run but you can't hide

To be fair, he _IS_ selling them fully loaded... He could have sold them without the various addons and been perfectly fine.

I'm no lawyer but legally is he doing anything wrong? - surely it's the user who potentially accesses the illegal content, granted he has given them the ability to do it quite easily but I don't see any car dealers for instance being prosecuted for selling cars that exceed 70mph  - grey area I think.....
