Staying in Cheddar this weekend and ran up thr Gorge this morning. Never been up there before, quite stunning. Coming down was easier ( no!) than going up but found a little weakness in my left
knee. Still, enjoyed the 5.2 miles anyway. Not run in around 12 weeks sow as happy with 41 minutes.

Played a solo acoustic gig today and threw in Limelight.  I'm not sure my stripped down version works, but then the audience didn't have a clue what the song was anyway, and they politely applauded so I reckon I got away with it. :)

Got a "retention bonus" from the company I work for. I was thinking of leaving quite honestly but now I think I probably will stay until the end of October and trouser the cash, so it looks like they do work.

Meeting Devin Townsend in the hotel foyer this morning for a handshake and a quick chat. Nice guy.

Went to see the specialist at the hospital yesterday, and they've signed me off, and are very pleased with me. The artery that I had the 2 stents in has opened up perfectly, and the echocardiogram I had 2 weeks ago showed that my heart is working normally. Got an appointment with occupational health at work tomorrow to see what they say, but the specialist told me to tell them that she is happy for me to go back to work on the 12th May when my current note runs out, on reduced hours to start with. I will post an update tomorrow after my appointment with occupational health.

Great news, zoon.

Enjoy the rest of your time off.

Thanks guys. Got the all clear to go back to work on the 12th. Four 5 hour shifts to start, then I've got my 4 days off, and then just 2 shifts, probably 7 or 8hrs, and I've got 2 weeks off, one of which is in Spain 🙂.
