Getting my Sid Poole Les Paul back from the luthiers - the binding had un-adhered from the neck (the mahogany bit, not the fingerboard) and cracked the nitro finish all the way down on both sides. The fix apparently was to soak an ultra-thin, high wet superglue into the crack in the finish and between the binding and the mahogany. Once polished down it has blended in perfectly with the original finish, absolutely invisible and mirror smooth.
