Not really that strange in this day and age but had alligator in New Orleans Bourbon St - coated in a light batter and served with a chilli dip. Quite tasty -bit like chicken (isn't everything ::)) but a little more chewy!

That curry we had after we'd been to see Bravado at The Robin was pretty strange mate!

Termites fresh out of the Termite mound - stick your finger in and a load run onto it then pop your finger in your mouth - tasted a bit like carrot. A bit Ray Mearsey - think that was in Belize, no one else in our group tried it....... ::)
Oh, and I did eat a cocaine plant leaf this year in Costa Rica - didn't taste of anything really, but the weirdest thing we tried was this berry seed thing that if you keep it in your mouth for a couple of minutes then eat something really sour like a lemon it tastes sweet. A few drug companies are looking at it as a way to stop people with sweet cravings eating too much sugary foods.

That looks a tough call to eat, but probably would fit into a packed lunch quite easily.

Love Root Beer. Best brand is "Barq's" nice sharp, zingy taste. Too bad you can't find any here in the UK. Not even the AmeriCandy shop carries it.

I was always super fussy about what I would eat - I even had a phobia of tinned peas as a kid - and I don't think I've ever eaten anything stranger than Stilton.
