********** PLEASE DO NOT REPOST/COPY/RE-PRINT THIS ANYWHERE ***********

Hey guys,
So as of right now it's likely that the August 1st show at the Forum will be THE LAST show, and I'm not just talking about R40 tour.

I've been emailing with SRO recently, and last night was a bit of a hard conversation, not just from me, but them also.

SRO: "Nothing changed.  We were hopeful at the start of the tour - but it's fading now.  It looks like August 1 at the Forum will be it."

Me: "I can't blame him and never will, but it would have been awesome."

SRO: "Honestly - anything past the Forum is getting more unlikely by the day."

Me: "I'm properly upset about this...."

SRO: "Aren't we all!"

:(

So if you want to TRY and see them then go for it NOW you've got a few shows left, I myself am trying to get to either San Jose or LA, but it's looking highly unlikely right now.

Jonners

A real shame.

Wonder if it will be filmed?

Already has, both Toronto shows were filmed a couple of weeks back.

I also suggested that the Forum show be livestreamed or something with the same feed as the main screen. Apparently it was suggested, but the band said no, as they wouldn't have full control over it. Which I can understand.

I was thinking more of some sort of record of the last ever show. Im sure there will be 15,000 mobile phones powered up come garden Road, but its not quite the same.

I guess I would just love to see the reaction, hear some last few words, presumably see Neil walk to the front of the stage for once with the others and take a bow

I bet they had their fingers crossed.

Aye.  Bait and switch.  Oldest trick in the book.

Neil in 1996:  'Consider me retired'  (completely understandably)

Neil in 2002:  'Hiya!'

C'mon Neil, get the Rush minions to set up some gigs in Europe next summer. A few weeks on the old motorcycle touring across Europe and the UK will be great, bring the family, everyones happy.

Things always appear different after a rest. After all it must be knackering doing such a big tour!
I want your RUSH ticket stubs because I am a sad collector

But all good things come to an end, and the US has been their bread and butter for donkeys years now, so perhaps a fitting place to wind it all up, although I must admit a home town gig would have had more of a romantic/emotional feel to it.

The Letter R

Bummer - was holding out for some kind of Euro mini-tour especially as they seem to be enjoying the current shows so much.......

They'll be back.  Definitely not this year and maybe not next, but we'll see them again.
You can check out any time you like but you can never leave!
