While I seem to have become one of the world's biggest naysayers, I genuinely hope all those travelling acroos the pond have a safe trip, and a really worthwhile and enjoyable experience.

Im praying for you all that a couple of nice surprises emerge in the gull unexpurgated set list, and that the band are on fire (or at least smouldering)

And yes I am a tad jealous!!!!!

I'm not. Been there, done that. Don't think it's worth the bother again. However if they get back to playing live I might be a tad miffed.

But hey, there are plenty of better - and cheaper - live bands to go and see.

I agree. My days of arenas and mega bucks tickets are gone, have loved seeing the likes of Fish, Steven Wilson, Saxon etc in small venues this year.

Unfortunately I have never travelled much further than the Midlands to see a gig, so an experience like this would have been fun I imagine. I think if R30 had been the farewell, I would have done some travelling. However, I think the last 10 years has been very hard on them physically and performance wise, and the new material has disappointed. I am jealous, but not disappointed, if that makes sense?

Perfect sense.

I just wish I'd had the inclination and/or money to go see them overseas whilst they were still in their pomp!
Much as I enjoyed my Scandinavian stalk it was a bit rough having to sit through the S&A setlist night after night...
