A new kitchen is in the pipeline Chez Scott and we are considering an Induction Hob as opposed to gas.

I have read reviews and they appear to be great pieces of kit.

Anyone got one that can give a personal review?

Sorry can't help you with a review. One note of caution though as we found out at Christmas having a gas or (in our case) dual fuel cooker gives you another option if there is an electrical power cut for several days. Hope you find what you want...keep us posted please Dix as I'm intrigued

i think we looked at this when we got our kitchen done a couple of years ago.. don't you have to get special pots and pans for an induction hob. ( which are pretty pricey i seem to rememver)   .. we settled for a gas hob.. cheaper   :)

My parents have an induction hob but then they don't have gas in their kitchen.  It is better than a standard electric hob but I wouldn't trade for my gas hob.
Like all electric hobs it stays hot for ages after you have finished cooking. And it beeps at you continually.
