Tshwane Open:
Danny Willett e/w 22/1 - ticks the current and course form boxes.
Julien Quesne 66/1 seems to be being well backed and I'm a fan but...not sure; maybe a dabble.
Long shots:
Tyrrell Hatton e/w 75/1 - English rookie who's caught the eye already this season.
Charl Coetzee e/w 200/1 (and/or Top 20 @ 11/2) - playing solid, tied 5th last year and seems hugely overpriced.
Possible cover bet on George Coetzee (7/1) but he spent 25 hours travelling from Phoenix to Joburg over the weekend...  :-\

FC Halifax Town's Matty Pearson was 18/1 for first goalscorer against Tamworth at the weekend.  Guess who was on it?  ;)

Fixed odds coupon    with son no 1 yesterday

£20 bet between us on an accumulator

Everton home
Burnley away
Brentford home
Motherwell home
Aberdeen home

Total winnings to be £370.83

With 20 mins to go the first four are comfortably ahead and Aberdeen drawing at home

Son no 1 phones me ...should we cash out to get £80 as Aberdeen not winning ?

Told him to hold on for another 10mins

A minute later Aberdeen score to lead 2-1 and i phoned him to let it roll, but the git had cashed in for £80 thirty seconds before they scored !!!

Gutted!!

To make matters worse he had placed another bet for himself, exactly the same teams, apart from taking out Aberdeen and replacing with Newcastle, who score in the 93rd minute to put his OWN coupon up winning 160.00 as he had put a fiver on himself...talk about rubbing it in  >:(

I got £40 quid back instead of £185  :'(

He is in the dog house

Ouch, Gordon.  Ouch.  :-\

This is the danger when another party is involved - things like this can happen, sadly.  Only a few weeks ago my boss's sons majorly fell out because one asked the other to put his football accumulator bet on because he was simply too bone idle to do it himself.  Unfortnately, a mark was placed next to West Brom instead of West Ham, a mistake which cost over £200...  :-\

To continue this litany of woe, I chose five homes yesterday:
Everton (won)
Luton (won)
Macclesfield (won)
Altrincham (won)
Forest Green - drew 0-0 with their opponent's 'keeper reportedly making a world class save in injury time...  :(

Would've paid for my weekend that...  ::)

Here's one I'm on for tonight:

Bet365
Matty Pearson (FC Halifax Town) any time goalscorer @ 12/1

Why on earth the bookies price our midfielder at longer odds than our defenders is pretty mystifying.  He plays in an advanced position in between our midfield and attack, isn't scared to have a crack from outside the box (scored from long range at Gateshead), frequently pops up with chances inside the box and landed a first goalscorer bet for me the other week at 18/1.

He's 125/1 to score two.  I've had a nibble on that as well...  ::)
