Until Sonos ships with a "WiSA" compliance label on it I will not consider it.

I've been reading up on DTS: PlayFi. Losslees audio over wireless internet. I like ike what I am reading. Seems a much more open approach than the proprietary Sonos approach. Similar to the WiSa approach.

There are some semi-decent reductions for "Black Friday" on Amazon if anyone is considering going down the Sonos route.

Does anyone have the versions that can be voice controlled by Alexa ?

I don't have the new Alexa voice controlled ones but even the old ones will now work with an Alexa dot.

TA, the reviews for the Alexa integration are decidedly patchy...

There are some good deals on the Play1, 3 & 5 at the moment for Black Friday....

Its a bit of a novelty but handy if you have left your iphone controller in another room.

"Alexa, play planet rock station on kitchen" is the type of command. Spotify is now controllable from this week  as a source, not tried it yet as away from home.

Like siri its a bit hit and miss (esp after a few strong ones), sometimes it plays via the dot rather than the sonos which is annoying.

Being tempted by the new Sonos Beam. Might be tempted to update the telly at the same time.
