Watched The Limehouse Golem on Netflix last night together with my wife, I rather enjoyed it.

Captain Scarlet And The Mysterons - Original series Bluray.
Standing in the shadows, hiding from the light
Reach out in the darkness, and hold on for your life
All the fear of the future, all the emptiness inside
When the moment of truth arrives, hey, you can run but you can't hide

Sicario 2: Soldado

It's okay - inevitably inferior to the Denis Villeneuve-helmed original, but still it's solid fare with the promise of (possibly a lot) more to come a fairly exciting prospect.

I'd have trouble choosing, they were all crackers. I' like to debrief them after a mission in a quiet side room on Cloudbase.

You're not wrong there David - but Destiny was always the one pour moi
(according to the Haynes Captain Scarlet Spectrum Agents' Manual she was French 😉).

In fact, I dare say the Angels were my introduction to a lifelong obsession with women in uniform! 😂

Polar (a Netflix film)

Adapted from the Victor Santos graphic novel Polar: came from the cold. Directed by Jonas Åkerlund

Given the casting of the brilliant Mads Mikkelsenas the world weary, psychologically damaged but indestructible hitman, Visla Duncan (aka“the Black Kaiser”), a top, company salaried, assassin, who is just two weeks away from his 50th birthday and enforced retirement.Polar
couldshould have been a decent, and more reflective, lower profile ''John Wick/Equalizer' style film....but it's actually just a frustrating mix of Tarantinoesque gratuitous hyper gore, unsuccessful black and shtick humour and some elements of a stylised graphic novel treatment mashed up with the far superior slow burning, brooding Mikkelson scenes, the tone of which should have been employed far more throughout the film; instead it comes across as an awful cut and shut job that were it not for Mikkelsen's involcement would have confirmed its straight to (the £poundshop) dvd release.status.

Even Mikkelsen ando some genuinely stomach churning scenes of gory violence can redeem this film, which features a largely vapid script, throwaway minor characters and an awful, OTT, scenery chewing, pantomime worthy, way past its sell by date hammy performance from Matt Lucas (of 'Little Brittain' fame) as the Black Kaiser's, slimy, malevolent, psychotic, treacherous boss; who, in order to save his corporation money has his up and coming hitmen dispose of all their more experienced counterparts before they can retire on lucrative company pensions. It's almost like two films cut and shut together. I can only assume that Mikkelsen isnt too picky and was handsomely rewarded for his wasted efforts.

I last saw her in Ocean's 8. I agree with your sentiments  :)

The Satanic Verses: 30 Years On

BBC Asian Network presenter Mobeen Azhar with a generally measured evaluation of the impact of Rushdie's infamous book - then and now.  Well worth a look, if only for the incident involving Azhar in Bradford's Centenary Square toward the end, which shows that, while legislation has moved forward with the times (the total abolition of "blasphemy" laws, for example), apparently little has changed on the ground for those who demand special exemptions for hurt feelings.
