Unfortunately, I was a latecomer not getting to see them live until 20th June 1980 at Birmingham Odeon on the Permanent Waves tour.

Setlist;

2112 (minus Oracle)
 Freewill
By-Tor and the Snow Dog (abbreviated)->
 Xanadu
 The Spirit of Radio
 Natural Science
 A Passage to Bangkok
 The Trees
 Cygnus X-1 (abbreviated)
 Hemispheres (abbreviated)
 Closer To The Heart
 Beneath, Between and Behind (abbreviated)
 Jacob's Ladder
 Working Man (reggae intro)
 Finding My Way
 Anthem
 Bastille Day
 In The Mood
 Drum Solo
Encore: La Villa Strangiato (electric guitar intro)

That was my first Rush gig too.

May 1979 for me at The Liverpool Empire, can't for the life of me remember if it was the 1st or 2nd night, I do know I had to miss the encore due to having to catch the last train home  :-\
