I did those two Wembley gigs.... was front row in front of Alex on one night (can't remember which). My first Rush concert was bonfire night 1981 at Wembley Arena. Multiple shows each tour since....  :-)
Almost certain that top of the pops played Tom Sawyer on bonfire night 1981.

Ha ha

I remember that very well. We had a bonfire/fireworks at the bottom of the garden and I came in to get more tatties. I had to walk through the living room at that time to get to the kitchen and on my way back TS was being introduced on the tv. I could not believe it and dropped the tatties all over the floor.

I was unbearable to everyone thereafter that evening :)

First giggs:

23/24 May 1983 in the Cow Shed, Ingliston.

I'm sure Lerxst broke a string one of the nights during The Analog Kid solo. Also got hauled over the front (first night) but that is described elsewhere here.

Did not see them again for a long time :( as was far, far away for the others in between. Missed HYF tour by a day  :-[

Have made up for it since though ;)

February 17th 1978 - I was 14 at the time but looked about 12 so I got a few strange looks from the more hardened rockers of the day. I don't remember a huge amount about it other than Xanadu, CTTH and Fly By Night. Here I am 35 years later still having the opportunity to see them live.

I saw them on their 2112 tour at Hammersmith Odeon in 1977 I think.  It was in the teeth of the 'Punk' movement and any rock gig had my vote at the time.  The irony was that I'd gone along primarily to see the support band called "Stray.'

Needless to say I was blown away and have been a fan ever since. I've also seen every subsequent tour on British soil since.

Yes, Stray were one of the better Rush support bands. Best one Max Webster, worst one Quartz, at least on the UK tours.

Yes, it was a clip from Exit.. Stage Left and Peter made some comment about "playing a mean guitar" over the fadeout.

Same for me as well - June 4th '77 it was and I too have seen them on every UK tour since (plus a smattering of overseas trips)  bloody awesome band that make bloody awesome music...

"Hold Your Fire" 1987 Meadowlands Arena N.J. was the first. HEAVY into RUSH in High School recently getting back into them. I left off (beleive it or not) at "Roll The Bones". The catching up is SOOOO MUCH FUN. That was a TOP High School moment and GREAT CONCERT.

15th April 1992 was also my first ever Rush gig.  Roll The Bones tour in Glasgow.  I can't believe it'll be 22 years next month, and I thought I was a Rush newbie discovering them in 1988.

Oh boy.....veterans

I know Rush since I was about 15 years old (1977)
The 3 albums I had (2212, AFTK and Hemispheres) always been my favourite albums, but I only just saw them for the first time on oktober 1, 2004, Ahoy Rotterdam  :-[  :-[  :-[

Since she realised what she missed all these years, this  prodigal daughter will not miss a concert ever again.....

I wish I was a vulcano, laying on my back all day smoking,
while people would say; "look she's working".
