My mate at work went to watch John Higgins at a small club just 2 miles from me a couple of weeks ago Gordon, tickets were £20. He won all ten frames and knocked 4 centuries in. I watched him in the Welsh open 2 days later, and he was awful!

He came to our club a couple of years ago....our club gave him £2k for appearing.
He hit a maximum first frame....then received a phone call regarding a family illness and left... ::)

Graeme Dott is my outsider to win at the Crucible.
He has shown signs that he is coming into form and if he gets through his first round match will grow in confidence.
Currently 25/1 but should be shorter.

He just got humped in the China Open 5-0 by Neil Robertson....however he is a wee trier and would welcome him doing well Matt  :)

He got £2500 at Chelmarsh. He charged £3000 at Kidderminster the previous night, so gave Chelmarsh a discount as it was so close to Kiddy.

What does that indicate about the forthcoming matches at the Crucible?

I guess that Higgins is the man to beat Matt given current form....he is shit hot at the moment and has the best safety game in the business.

Thats good enough for me.Higgins 15/2 decent price and in form.
Higgins & Dot the outside chance.Hopefully they both get a good run.

Higgins just been whacked in the semi final by Mark Allen....Higgins dint make mistakes , just that Mark Allen never missed a ball in the last four frames.

Higgins better over long matches though

Well Ronnie certainly never looked like he'd had a year out today, taking a 7-2 lead in his first round match at this years world championship.

He is lucky to be up by that much...Campbell should have been 4 -0 up, but O'Sullivan did produce some fine clearances to just get over the line in the early frames.

Most open championship in a long time methinks.

Definitely mate, and 3 players in it who I hadn't even heard of before.

Higgins, Williams, Maguire and Allen all out so far in the first round, and it's as open as it's ever been this year.

I agree.Interestingly though, and could it be a sign, Dott came through a tough first round match with a good result.
