A bit dour?  He's from Aberdeen, he's very dour......... ::)

Aberdeen invented dour.

I did see him laugh in an interview the other week, hence, I downgraded him from "dour" to "a bit dour...""

Eldrick got his 3 win of the season yesterday, one could argue that he actually is back

French Open this week - I've gone for Mark Foster, who has very good record on the course (tied-2nd last year, tied-6th year before) and seems to be in good overall nick at the moment.  So I thought well worth a punt at 50/1.

I've had a little each-way double with Furyk at 25/1 this week as well. :)

Indeed.  Funny old week - never heard of the US winner before (or the guy he beat in the play-off).

I see your mate Michael Campbell had a decent week at the French Open with a tied-11th finish; reminded me of the last time he finished in that position, when I had a cheeky fiver on him for a top ten finish at 20/1 and (as last week) missed out by one shot.  ::)

I'll scoop something eventually, you'll see...  :-\

Looks to be some low scoring potential at the Scottish Open, Anders hansen 6 under after 9.

Casey still struggling, couldnt happen to a bigger prick!

Just back from golf tour in South Wales :

Southerndown
Royal Porthcawl
Machynys
Pyle & Kenfig

Great courses (RP is one of the best I've ever played and comes highly recommended), lovely people, but fairly crap weather !

So the final major of the year, the US PGA Championship, starts tomorrow.

A monster 7,600+ yard course at Kiawah Island so naturally the bigger hitters are being tipped up.

I've gone for Oosthuizen (35/1) and each-way on Garrigus (100/1), who are both in good form and seem to fit the bill.  A strong case can be made for plenty others of course, (Dustin Johnson, Jason Dufner, Tiger, Rory etc).

Anyway, something other than the Olympics to keep an eye on. :)

I've gone Bubba at 33-1

Long course and soft, could play into his hands

Poulter is -6 on the first 7 holes today, a shame the boy is an Arse-fan......

Yep, he's got that "something" that Westwood and Donald have yet to find.
