Quote from: DavidL on November 24, 2019, 22:56:01 pmGreat dinners two days running. Last night we had teryaki sea bass fillets with spring onions and peppers on a bed of noodles. Tonight we enjoyed one of my wife's exceptional roast dinners. Loin of pork, stuffing, yorkshires and loads of veg. And tomorrow I've got bubble and squeak with cold pork and baked beans to look forward to!

Nice one mate, and coincidentally we've got a roast pork dinner on the menu for tonight, and I've got a couple of sea bass fillets for tomorrow.

Gressingham duck breasts on parpadelle pasta with Lloyd Grossman Chili and tomato sauce enhanced with more Chili, garlic and a load of spinach. Not bad for a Wednesday.

We've just got back from Bewdley where we sat down in the restaurant area of The Merchants fish and chip shot. Had a cracking haddock, chips and mushy peas with a few battered mushrooms. My treat for the week 🙂.

Gammon, slowly roasted.

No, that's not a reference to left-wing echo chambers on social media, I did genuinely have this for  dinner, and jolly nice it was too. :)

A couple of sea bream fillets with sweet potato fries.

A good old fashioned stew. Lean chunks of beef, parsnip, carrot, onion, peas, Swede and a bit of potato, finished off with the obligatory dumplings. Nothing better on a winter's evening with some bread to dip in it as well.

Sea bass fillets with new potatoes, mixed vegetables, and a generous helping of onion sauce over it.

Spaghetti carbonara to this recipie https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3AAdKl1UYZs

Used cubed panchetta rather than proper pig cheek due to lack of pig cheeks in Tesco.

Nice family meal out last night. Bit of pate with some chutney, salad and brown toast to start, followed by a carvery where I had turkey, beef, roast potatoes, a Yorkshire pudding and 8 different vegetables. Declined a dessert, as I just don't do them anymore.

A very nice Xmas dinner. Roast turkey, roast potatoes and glazed parsnips, cauliflower, carrots, sprouts with chestnuts and stuffing.

And for the first time in more years than Ican remember, no prawn cocktail starter, no pigs in blankets on my dinner, and no Xmas pudding with custard.

Full Xmas dinner: Turkey, Mashed potatoes, Roast potatoes, Pigs in Blankets, Parsnips, Peas and Carrots, Broccoli and Cauliflower in cheese sauce - but no stuffing.

All preceded by smoked salmon with king prawns in marie rose sauce and followed by Christmas pud and/or Brandy cream, followed by cheese and biscuits then coffee with chocolates :)
