We won our first point of the season on Monday!! Individually I'm doing pretty well, I've played four singles matches, wqinning 3 and losing 1. I've been surprised at the standard of some players, some wouldn't look out of place in a professional darts tournament while others can barely hit the board.

I think quite a lot of us can play good darts from time to time Neph, but it's being consistent that's the hard part!

Wise words Zoony and it's something I'm learning to live with. On Monday I threw 100, 121, 60 then a whopping 7!! It's enough to make you cry at times.

Lol. I remember playing a best of three 301 up our club a few years ago Neph, and having lost the first, i won the second in 8 darts, with a 140 and a 2 dart 100 out shot, and then won the decider in 8 darts as well, scoring another 140, and checking out with 92 in 2 darts. The next time i played though, i was like a pig with a stick!

we played in our 2nd cup-final this season Monday night and we came out victorious..... 8) 8) 8)

i won my match 2-0 with a 20 darter in one of my legs so well pleased and it tied up the match at 1-1,

we went on to win by a margin of 5-3 so happy days,

cheers, Colin

I played darts for a while in my late teens but gave it up after a few months. I received a dartboard as a father's day gift and haven't stopped playing since Sunday. Anyone else play this 'sport'?

Always enjoy a game of darts in the pub. Ive got a board up in my games room at home. 501,301 ,killer etc. Great fun.
:) I love my wife! <3

Our working mens club hosted "An evening with Terry "The bull" Jenkins" last night, and a very enjoyable night it was. Terry is ranked number 5 in the world, and was very entertaining and approachable, but admitted that he didn't play that well last night, despite hitting about ten 180s, having 2 ton finishes with 2 bullseyes, taking out 18 with 3 double threes, and hitting doubles with the board covered over in paper!

Sounds a great night Rob :)
Love a good darts night out , and Terry Jenkins one of my fave players after Gary Anderson would be worth the admission price

He was very down to earth and nothing was too much trouble for him Gordon. I'd say there was about 70 there, which is about 5 times as many as they usually get in our club on a saturday! I was talking to the lad who organised it, he's a big darts fan and goes to watch them at various places, and he said he'd lost a shed load of money, but wasn't bothered as everyone there had had such a good night. Fair play to him.
