Musicians - Are You On Youtube?
« on: April 09, 2010, 09:01:19 AM »
The trouble with forums is that people are by and large anonamous and you never get to know much about who they are or what they do as a rule which is a shame.

Obviously Youtube is crammed full of just about everyone in the world who plays an instrument! 8)

Lets see/hear your own musical outings if you're on there, don't be shy! ;D

Post some links up guys! ;)

My band has a few videos on YouTube, but they are recorded before I became a member of the band. Needless to say, the band is soooo much better now... :P ;)

Whoa! Big production! That must take some pulling together GLG. Hard enough with just 3 people I find. Great stuff.

Yes, it takes some pulling together, but it's all worth it :)

We have a brand new setlist, so right now we're trying to book as many gigs as possible. We have already booked a few gigs for this summer, eg. a "Metallica-gig" - playing for the prisoners in Vaasa prison here on the Finnish west coast :D The YouTube clips feature songs from the old setlist, the new set will be a bit darker.

Thanks!

It's my Peavey Classic through a Shure mic

I played both those songs on my Gibson LesPaul

I noticed in the pics you're playing Strats mainly Micke but was thinking it was definitely more Gibson sounding in the audio. I have a Seymour Duncan pick-up booster that makes a Strat sound like a humbucking guitar quite convincingly so was going to ask you if that's what you were using!

The Peavey Classic is a lot like the Tiny Terror.... 12AX7s and EL84's if I'm not mistaken. Great amps both. I haven't actually tried recording my Tiny Terror yet but that's quite inspiring tone that you have there. Must have a dabble.

Super tight hard core metal Breesey, liking it. It's not easy to play at high bpm as a band eh? Not many folk appreciate that.

Yes, I am mainly a strat-player. I have four stratocasters.... two of them are Fenders, one is a Shecter and one is custom built (Fender body with a 70's Sigma maple neck with large headstocik). The custom strat is fitted with 3 DiMarzio Austin Special pickups.....They're kind of DiMarzios version on the Fender Texas Special pickup, but unfortunately I don't think they make them anymore. You can check the sound out on our MySpace-web: http://www.myspace.com/fuzzydize

On the song "Fool For Your Stockings" I play that custom strat though my Peavey Classic with a Uni-Vibe effect, and on the solo I use my CryBaby Wah and a Boss SD-1 distortion...

I also have two Les Pauls: One Gibson Les Paul Classic (tobacco sunburst), and one is an Epiphone Les Paul Heritage (cherry sunburst) which I am planning on stripping and exchanging some parts (pickups, tuners and volume/tone pots) making it a bit "less Epiphone" and "more Gibson"...

I also have a black PRS Tremonti that I really like. It's quite light compared to the Gibson, but still has great tone and sustain.

So you have a Tiny Terror? I have been wanting to buy one of those for a while, and maybe I'll get around to it when I get my tax returns in a few months time. I really like the way they sound. Thinking of buying a 2x12" cabinet, and play though that...Great to get so much sound out of such a small rig.  :)
