Lynda

Just booked tickets to see Rick Wakeman 'Grumpy old Rick'.
He will be at The Boadway theatre, Peterborough on Friday 4th February.
I have seen him at an 'intimate evening' theatre performance and it was excellent, no idea the content of this show.

If anyone is at all interested and books by phone on 01733 316100 , quote their January sale and it really is two seats for the price of one (16.50)

PM me if you need any other info :)

QuoteMainly one man show, although Rick will be joined by Ramon Remedios for the very last live performance of The Barber of Wigan

I would love to join you Lynda, I haven't seen Rick since April 2003 (Out There tour), and his one man shows are usually excellent.
Standing in the shadows, hiding from the light
Reach out in the darkness, and hold on for your life
All the fear of the future, all the emptiness inside
When the moment of truth arrives, hey, you can run but you can't hide

I knew this was just too far for you Reg and it's a one-off show, shame.

But we recommend him to anyone else don't we ;D

Seen the old boy many times in his one man show - great evening out guaranteed (especially if he does Eleanor Rigby in the style of Prokofiev), and usually Rick hangs around afterwards for general chit chat. Do it, definitely.

Yep.  I met him after his one-man show at the Rhyl Pavilion (2000 I think it was).  Genuinely friendly guy - talk about anything, sign anything.  It does, of course, help shift merchandise.
