Today I bought back my first love, Amanda, a pink Ibanez RD707.

I bought one of these Saturday:

It's a Fender Modern Player Jazz Bass and it's quite possibly the most glorious sounding bass I've ever heard aside from it's older brother (American Jazz bass with some kind of boost button in one of the tone pots) It's got a nice fast neck and some real thump on the low end.
Over thinking, over analyzing separates the body from the mind. Withering my intuition, missing opportunities and I must feed my will to feel my moment drawing way outside the lines.

Seems a bit quiet in the bass player acquisition section.  Couldn't stop myself and picked this up recently.  Always wanted a fretless Wal.  It sounds great.

I don't think I ever posted any pictures of my own basses here, only a picture of one that was the same model as mine. Well, here are my two basses. A wood coloured 5-string Washburn MB5 and a pink 4-string Ibanez RD707.

Mines sitting in the corner of the bedroom, apart  from the first few weeks of having received it from my wife for my 40th Birthday over ten years ago its never been played. Its only a cheap Fender.....still, it looks nice! I do like a nice bit of polished wood.........ooh er  :o

How are you Captain?  Long time no speak...

I did considering asking Mr Herman to make me a new one, but the prices I heard people were being quoted for new Wals were even scarier than the second hand costs.  Pity really, as I still have a desire for a black one with gold hardware.  Maybe one day.  He doesn't offer you discounts does he?    ;)

I could suggest mate's of mate's rates next time I see Paul, ( he'll probably want me to
chainsaw another tree down for some more bass wood !   ::) ).
