excellent, did you get chance for a chat with the man?

Yes, had a quick chat with him when I bought his new solo acoustic CD which he signed for me. :)

Nice shots Mark, the last one you've pointed out in particular.

Thanks, Chris.

Tell me, do you have any editing software at all? Some of your pics can be improved considerably with a bit of cropping & tweaking. Did these 2 in a matter of seconds:

I downloaded Gimp that someone recommended to me but I've never really used any kind of software to edit pics so don't know what I'm doing tbh. I don't think I've made it as far as editing a single picture! Happy for any advice :)

Here's some pix from last years Rush tour. Taken on my Canon A95 compact. (No way I was going to get my Canon 20D into those gigs!) :D

Btw, I put these through TinyPic and for whatever reason they've come out a lot less sharp than they actually are. Disappointing. :( :-\

These are of Opeth at the Blank Canvas in Leeds, November 2005. Again Canon A95 blah blah blah.

This last one was taken from the right-hand side of the stage and was deliberately taken with a shutter speed of 1/30 second. I love this picture. It came out way better than I expected. :)

For those of us wth point and shoot cameras the best bet is to get right at the front and click away with and without flash and hope for the best. Yup - some of the blurred ones come out really great! What did we do before digital cameras eh? :-)
