Shit!

My books already here from Amazon, and what's this bloke in blue with the big nose then!

Is it Ron?  ;D

Ashley

Got Post Office today from Amazon along with a DVD - MUd Wrestling Lesbians Vol. IV.

I must get Vols I - III  ;D

BTW, Post Office is only 153 pages, so deadline has been moved to January 11th.

Reg

Don't bother with Volumes I-III Ash. Unless you are a completist.  This is early experimental work.

Volume IV is, of course, the "Moving Pictures" of the Mud Wrestling Lesbian genre.
Standing in the shadows, hiding from the light
Reach out in the darkness, and hold on for your life
All the fear of the future, all the emptiness inside
When the moment of truth arrives, hey, you can run but you can't hide

I know I am late with the Antipope, but I hope to make some serious progress this weekend.
Order the Post Office book, so that will be the next, no doubt.

Ron, your dogged determination to get to the end of the book (despite the fact it has no pictures) is a credit to you.

We all are on tenterhooks awaiting your comments.  ;)

Once you get into Post Office, you will fly through it - it is definitely a 'can't put down' book and not too fat (unlike Ash)

Ron

The problem is not so much to get into the book, but I decided to actually learn from reading it, so I mark all the words I don't know and look for them in my English - Dutch dictionary.
And with about 500 words per page to be searched, it does take some time!  ;D

You'll all right with post office, it's just loads of tails of drunkeness, womanizing and hangovers  ;D - but told with such style - genius at work

Casino Royale is a cracking little novel.  But - as the very first of Fleming's 007 novels - it's very, very dated now.  Don't see carpet beaters used often these days, certainly not to bash someone's goolies while they're tied to a chair anyway.
