Hi Pricey, does your machine produce a nice Crema? How much was it mate?

the bialetti mukka espresso was Ã,£46 i think, it produces 2 cups of cappunccino, or latte, but i can`t seem to get what i would call a nice latte from it, as reg said its very easy and quick - 4mins or so on a gas hob, it doesnt do espresso, though i imagine using water intsead of milk in the top might give you a decent americano; if im doing espresso or indeed big milky lattes i use my gaggia classic, that always gives a good crema, thing is its a lot slower, needs time to warm up etc, and its a lot dearer - around Ã,£200 -Ã,£250.

on another subject - soon be carp time mate !!
I'll try and behave . Promise

Just ordered myself a 2-cup Brikka.

I put some Monsoon Malabar through my Brikka last night.  Very nice.

Where did you get it, Reg? The Monsooned Malabar, I mean? I haven't seen it at Sainsbury's for weeks.

From a Whittard coffee selection box I purchased just before Christmas - 9 x 75g packets - 3 mild, 3 medium, and 3 strong.  Is there a Whittard store near you James?  Failing that, you can get it mail order from various suppliers if you are particularly keen.

Mrs, bought Monsoon Malabar, we normally get Guatemala elephant, though the hard core After Dinner is what we've been testing on the new Krupps espresso machine, she just bought! (Knocked it down from Ã,£150 to Ã,£75)

The Mocha is good from Whittards as well.

James.  I just remembered that I've also seen it in Waitrose.  Don't know if that helps you at all.

I've got one of those, love it. Big range of coffees to choose from & they do limited edition specials every now & then that are always worth stocking up on as they're not around for long. My current favourite is the Chesnut Cream one that came out just before Christmas, lovely. :)

Ooh.  Getting close to biting.  Might be saying goodbye to the cash I got for the Wii stuff!

I bit.  Not the DeLonghi though.  When I looked at the real deal, it felt like a toy.

It was a toss up between the Gaggia Classic, which I believe Mr. Pricey has, and the new style Gaggia Baby.  I went for the Baby in the end.  If anyone is interested btw, the Gaggia Classic has £50 off in-store in Currys at the moment, down from £299.99 to £249.99.

Here be my new 'Baby':
