I'm in speyside just  now  ;D The bar in the place we are staying has about 125 whiskies. They even have a Swedish whisky  :o I declined the opportunity, preferring a couple of unusual Highland Parks (20 and 22 yo). I'm heading up to Kirkwall soon to visit the whisky Mecca that is the HP distillery ;D

Pete, not the Craigellachie Hotel is it? Actually that must have more  :o A dangerous place to stay.

Enjoy HP mate, it's a good tour  :)

The (cheaper) Highlander Inn which is just across the road.

I'm in Kirkwall at the moment, did the tour this afternoon. A good tour but the dram was very small (of the 12 YO, no choice) and they charged six quid for it. Also, nobody told me the place was at the top of a bloody hill.  ::) The Glenlivet tour was actually better (and free) and you got a choice of 3 drams, the standard 12YO an 18YO and a non-chill filtered cask strength.

Went to Macallan on Sunday but it was shut.

I've had affa fine haggis in the Highlander.....and affa fine whisky too. However, The Craigellachie has over 700  :o

It's quite the Alladin's Cave.

I'm sure we got more than one wee dram at HP.

I really like the regular 10yr old Aberlour... be interested to hear what you make of this Ron. :)

I think this 15yr old Aberlour is much better than the regular Aberlour. The regular one is a fair highlander with a nice soft and smooth taste. The 15 yr is spiced up a bit and bit fuller. For me, it has a bit more adventure in the taste.
