Well I don't often enter this mysterious world - but just thought I'd see if anyone was eerrr "growing anything" - not herbal smoking products you understand but plain old fruit 'n' veg ??
I have recently planted some carrots and peppers from seed - the carrots have started to show signs of life but nothing as yet from the peppers.
Anyone else got their spade out..........? ;)

Stoofah

I grew four 'special plants' in my spare room last summer...   ;D

But other than that, never tried vegetables.  I grow a splendid rose though  ;)

TerrBerr

Not intentionally grown anything but there are a few self-set potato plants under the compost heap (hangover from some long-lost veg plot, planted by previous occupants). If I get them before the slugs do I have the makings of a few nice meals.

There's some mould in a carton of margarine at the back of the fridge - does that count?

Grapes, various berries, plums, strawberries, figs.
Tomatoes.
Garlic.
Various herbs (sage, coriander, basil, thyme, etc.).

I grow my own herbs and have loads of varietys, we have an apple tree, cherry tree, damson and pear tree, strawberry plants and some milburry bushes.

The birds tend to get to most of the fruit before I do, but the off chance I do then its very good indeed.

Tom Garrett

lots of herbs, last year lots of organic veg and strawberries. we got an acre at the back of the house , but this year, it's a mess of construction waste.
Don't argue with the ignorant and stupid; they'll take you down to their level and beat you with experience!

Ron

oh yes, we do have an apple tree as well.

Cheese is too easy to use to cultivate mold. Margarine takes far more time and effort!  :)

It gives my toast and honey a slightly sharp, yet nutty flavour, which is really rather pleasing.
