Does anyone have one of these beasts?
I'm looking for someone who might possibly be able to transfer some data from Amstrad 6128 tapes to floppy disc or CDR.
If anyone can help, please PM me.
Thanx in advance.

Wow. What the hell could you do with the data once you had transferred it.
If smoking cures fish how come it kills people?

Dunno but if you played it back on an audio cd player you could make some wicked Trance music with it.   ;D

Umm. Useless reply or what.

As far as I'm aware, you can play the tape through the aux socket of your sound card and record it to a wav file (using any recording software). Then (apparently) you can download software from the Interweb that can read the wav file and convert it to data (it is after all based on the same principle as say fax machines).

What can be done with the data after that I'm not really sure..
