Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets
« on: August 11, 2017, 20:08:12 PM »

Saw this in 3D last night.

This is full-on Luc Besson.

If you liked The Fifth Element, you will like this.

If you didn't like The Fifth Element, then you will want to avoid this one.

If there are any fans of Rihanna - you might want to take a look too - she plays quite an interesting role.

Ethan Hawke puts in a small but scene-stealing performance as a sleazy bar/brothel owner (which is where Rihanna turns up).

The film is 2 and a quarter hours long, but doesn't outstay its welcome.
Standing in the shadows, hiding from the light
Reach out in the darkness, and hold on for your life
All the fear of the future, all the emptiness inside
When the moment of truth arrives, hey, you can run but you can't hide

TFE...a guilty pleasure 😀
