Come to Yorkshire
« on: December 30, 2016, 00:17:55 AM »
Just a quick request to any of the UK tribute bands; can you make your way to Yorkshire!? Preferably in the Leeds area or anywhere in the West Yorkshire region...
Over thinking, over analyzing separates the body from the mind. Withering my intuition, missing opportunities and I must feed my will to feel my moment drawing way outside the lines.

Yes, seconded.  Scotland has tribute bands all the time even though it is less populous than Yorkshire. ;)

Even Halifax has a couple of decent venues tailor-made for trib bands.

I'm sure even Simsy will be behind this; it's a not far to cycle to the NORTHERN POWERHOUSE.  8)

I can get La Villa to play in Leeds/Halifax/Bradford area in September possibly. Suggest some venues please, preferably with a stage more than a foot of the deck and room enough on stage for 5/6 (there is only 3 of them, but they like some space). Also ideally without the PA (esp. subs) on the actual deck they are performing on. Stage monitors are not a requirement particularly either.
Oh, and pays going trib. rates....

Cheers

I could look at getting Clockwork Angels to play in the Yorkshire area.  Can anyone recommend venues and phone numbers/websites and I'll see what I can do.

Cheers.

Counterparts are the best in my opinion guys. Seriously, try and get to see them, electric violin et al.
They are a North West England band generally, so not too far to come.

Thought I'd give this another go cause I haven't seen a Rush tribute since Bravado at Eucon in Sheffield 2013!

There are two venues in Bradford that would cater for a Rush trib:

https://www.facebook.com/TRASH-Bradford-344608129081407/

https://www.facebook.com/theundergroundbradford/

I've played both venues many times and they're both great, although Trash has the better PA and larger stage.
