Ran into these guys on the way back from the Riverside gig at the Watford Gap services. They are a covers band but seem to have a good reputation. Anyway, the singer tells me they have just added Rush's Xanadu to their setlist (ambitious!) so of course Terry and I will go along to check them out. It's an excellent little rock pub venue with good sound (saw Deep Purple in Rock there the other week) and there is a handy supermarket carpark just down the street from the venue. Be nice to see a few TNMS faces in there if any of you can get there. :)

They were great! Proper three piece outfit. We got Subdivisions, Xanadu, Limelight, Xanadu and 2112:Overture amongst the varied set. Xanadu was rough around the edges but they admit themselves that it is a work in progress. Delay pedal went hilariously wrong in 2112:Overture but they persevered and rocked their way through it. Face melting guitar work by an awesome guitar player throughout. Particular belters were stunning renditions of Hendrix: Voodoo child,Deep Purple: Burn and Pink Floyd: Comfortably numb. The last of those three was just.... sublime. They also played Pink Floyd: Coming back to life which is one of my favourites and they nailed it. Highly recommended little band. Oh and it was a free gig too. :)
