Mobile Phone's died :(

Not a big user of it, but it meant I couldn't stray far from home on the bike because I wouldn't be able to call out the support vehicle.

It occurred to me yesterday, that Ozzy Osbourne still hasn't announced replacement dates nor offered refunds...tickets were £75 + fees, pisses me right off....

Twitter is a good place to vent about See...happened to me a few years ago with a cancelled Black Keys tour and they eventually refunded...

Have kept it quiet on FB, although most people know now, but I'm currently on the cardio ward at Telford hospital. I've been having some worrying sysymptoms for a few weeks now, bit of breathlessness and chest pain, but I put off doing anything until going to the doctors last week, where I was booked in to have a blood this coming Monday. However, at work in the early hours of Friday morning, I had an episode that was worse than any I'd had before, and I had to call an ambulance. Turns out I've been having angina, and I've now done some damage to the muscle. The specialist will be in the ward on Sunday to tell me if I'm going to need any further treatment to what I'm already having. I realise I'm going to have to make changes with lifestyle and diet, but can deal with that, and I'm very grateful I've been given a second chance, which a lot of people unfortunately don't get.

My Dad had some issues with angina, which were successfully dealt with with the insertion of a stent - its a fairly routine procedure, although I appreciate how scary these things can be.  Wishing you nothing but the best, Rob - lots of love to you and the family.

Bloody hell Rob, scary to read this pal.  I remember my mum had a similar incident back in the day and it puts everything into perspective.  Get yourself well, fella; hope to see you soon. :)

A friend of mine, Andy, had a heart attack a few weeks ago. He's 60 and had been suffering with heartburn-like symptoms. He's extremely fit for his age (normal weight, decent cholestrol, low resting heart rate etc) but had to stop recently during a run due to the discomfort. He got himself to the docs and was astounded to end up being immediately sent to hospital to have a stent fitted. Apparently the artery in question was around 70% 'furred-up'. He was extremely lucky as he got it sorted in time and had virtually no damage apart from a little bruising to the muscle. He never felt enough pain to consider he was having a heart attack. Another friend had the same symptoms a couple of years ago but didn't make it to the doctor quick enough, had a massive heart attack and died in his bed. He was 52. When Andy asked the doctor "why?", they said "your male and 60 years old". He has no idea whether genetics played a part as he lost his dad at a young age to cancer. I consider him to be very lucky. He feels fine but will need to exercise a while under supervision until he gets the OK from the docs. I'm sort of hoping that if I've got a pre-disposition, I will have the exact same experience and get some preventative treatment in good time.
Never ignore symptoms. Hope you get things sorted.
