Hey guys im 14 years old, my name is Scott Semple.I'm from Grangemouth in Scotland, im the son of Gordon Semple(Blastzone) I'm a huge rush fan just like my dad. I'm a guitarist hoping to be a musician when I'm older .I Love Alex's work as a guitarist and Geddy's funky bass riffs. i have 2 guitars at the moment. My father bought both of my guitars from his good friend (Dixkot) they are both manufactured by Dean guitars, they are good and i love them. I'm hoping to get an Epiphone Les paul custom deluxe edition for my Christmas  ;D. I have met some guys on here. I've met (OldDog) and I've also met (Oor Wullie) and also i go to Grangemouth high. I want to get my highers in music im doing well so far, I've had a (certificate of Merit) not boasting*cough* .I have alot of influences such as Alex lifeson,Kirk Hammett,Angus Young, Steve Vai,Herman Li and my biggest inspiration of all and my idol is Joe Satriani and well thats enough about me for now, i hope i could make some friends on here, im currently sitting listening to Joe's Band. I would just like to say i think Willie is a great bassist and I'm just going to say bye for now ;D

Welcome to TNMS, Scott. Your dad rocks hard, and has obviously done a good job allowing you the freedom and support to do the same. Hope to meet you next time I am in Scotlandshire.

Hey Scott,

Welcome to TNMS young man.  Thank you very much for the compliment.  I do my best to please.  I'm really glad you like listening to my band.  On the way home from the Rush UK gig last Friday, I played the CD to your dad and we were chatting about it.  He really liked the sound quality of it which was great.  He then said of all the people he would let listen to it and I smiled.  I think your dad is trying to get Joe's Band into his local pub sometime in early 2010 so hopefully the bar manager could let you in that night (as long as you only drink juice! ;) ).

When I was on the phone to your dad he let me hear you playing "Highway To Hell" by AC/DC.  You rock!!!!

Anyway, I'd best be off to bed.  Hope you have a fun time talking to like minded people on here Scott.  Hope to see you and your dad sometime soon.

Take care buddy.

Willie.

Hi Scott, and welcome to TNMS !!

With your dad getting on in years and slowing down a bit, it's good to see a Semple is still able to rock out !!!

Good to hear that you are still playing the guitars, they were wasted in my house.

Have fun on TNMS.

Gman

Welcome young man, and I hope you're from the Celtic supporting side of the family ;)

Your Dad has many attributes, but his affliation with the Jam Tarts does him no credit at all....oh and I hope you don't drink Jack D ::)....OTHERWISE  a stern warning will come your way

Good to have you along and very good choice of music :)

Gman
