Quotethe sound was OK after a poor(ish) start where there wwas no "middle" to the sound.

I thought the dts soundtrack was excellent, but I agree with everything else. I did enjoy it more than the Mean Fiddler gig, though - probably because I didn't have a PRR dvd to watch beforehand

I think I must be the only one here who really enjoys Blackfield live; maybe it's my weakness for poppier material. I agree that Aviv's voice is the weak link (not only live, but also on the albums) but I enjoyed the DVD a lot. The setlist was excellent, and I quite like the 2nd album material (which doesn't seem to be popular here either).

One thing that did surprise me was the amount of backing track used. I can't remember which song it was, but it starts with a picked acoustic guitar figure, and no-one was playing it despite both SW and Aviv wearing guitars and not playing them.

No need for Aviv to take his top off either...

I agree the setlist was good and I've no problem with the second album either...it has some great moments - although I do prefer the debut. Aviv wouldn't get anywhere on an "X factor" type of program, voice made me cringe at times....SW doesn't have the strongest voice, but he works within that, Aviv doesn't seem to realise... :-/
