"Proper Education" by Eric Prydz vs Floyd
Release: 1 Jan 2007
Proper Education was the biggest track at Amsterdam Dance Event and has already featured at no1 in the Buzz and Cool Cut charts, despite not being released until January. This was added to the Radio 1 playlist seven weeks upfront (Call On Me was only added six weeks upfront). The Pink Floyd sample was cleared by EMI at some expense

Is it worse than the Scissor Sisters' Comfortably Numb?

Whatever, I shall avoid it if possible.
Standing in the shadows, hiding from the light
Reach out in the darkness, and hold on for your life
All the fear of the future, all the emptiness inside
When the moment of truth arrives, hey, you can run but you can't hide

Doubt that Reg, the only thing worse than that would be eating your own testicles

Have any of you left comments?

It gives you the opportunity to do so via the link at the bottom of the paragraph.

I asked what Pink Floyd had done to deserve this. Quite restrained of me, I thought.

Cracking job on this in terms of creating a dance track. Its actually less of a sample steal and really a remixed version as there is so much of the original in there. Obviously Floydie fans will all be aghast and berate it as this is the normal thing to do (see above for evidence ), but in a busy club at full volume i could see this going down a storm.
I'm sure this isnt the first time this has been re-worked, i seem to remember playing a version when i worked in clubs. Not sure if it was a legal release or a bootie though.
It's a long way to the shop.....if you wanna sausage roll...

Absolutely.

I enjoyed listening to that.

It's very good.
