Just got back from seeing "Signs" VERY VERY good film, up to M. Night Shyamalan usual standard, although better than Unbreakable, IMHO...

Not sure I agree with the way he got his point across, but none the less a very good film...

I was quite surprised and the secondary characters acting from Mr Pheonix down through Mr Culkin Jnr to the little Bo character played by Abigail Breslin.

Lots of humour yet lots of suspence and thrills.

My only reservation is certificate, it is the new "12a", I personally would of said a 15, as there were parts which I feel were too graphic, I'm mean even some of the adults were a bit dubious...

Anyway enough of that go see it...

My rating is 5/5

Just seen it myself and have to say that it is probably his best even if it was a bit heavy handed dealing with the overall theme of restoring lost faith.

Liked the humour mixed with the creepy suspense especially as most of the suspense was derived from what you couldn't see rather than what you could see.. :o

The kids were superb -- where do they get such a talent at that age?

Go see it

Oh yeah, forgot it had kids in it.

I really hate kid actors, they always seem to cheapen films and ruin them.

But I'll reserve judgement  ;)

so did ya see it?  what did you think?

Chris Quartly

Yeah saw it last week, but forgot to put feedback on 'cause the site went dowm.

I thought it was excellent, probably the best film of the year IMO (though my previous best film of the year was Vanilla Sky which a lot of people hate  ::) ).

Surprisingly, the kids were good and didn't cheapen the film at all. The film is very atmospheric and was the first film in 9 years to make me jump  :o but I won't say which bit as I haven't found one person who didn't jump at this particular bit.

I wasn't a fan of 6th Sense or Unbreakable but thought that Signs was brilliant. Although some people I know are trying to pick wholes in the plot but just go and see it for what it is. If anything, the aliens are actually a side-plot.

Saw Parisienne Lust last night.

I was a little disppointed with the story line and the acting was definitely below bar, but the action scenes were amazing and they had obviuosly gone to a lot of trouble to pick specialist actors to fill some of the bigger parts.
