Had the pleasure of seeing him live years ago, a very funny man.


Also saw the first ever interview on the Parkinson Show where that classic " I had to have some here to put the bike " got it's first TV airing.

I saw that too. Actress Angie Dickinson was another guest and Billy told a story about playing a bad gig somewhere and said he "felt as welcome as a fart in a spacesuit". Angie Dickinson had to be escorted offstage and given oxygen because she was laughing so hard.

Connolly is one of the finest stand-ups ever to come out of Britain.
