Title: Bravado Chesterfield August 2018
Post by: L3rxst on September 18, 2018, 15:26:53 PM
Excellent performance, let down as always by a very poor mix.
Waaaay to much drums and couldn't hear the guitar, which is essential in Rush as it hangs the melody to pull the rest together.
Might nip down to Eucon and see this band at the end of this month in Crewe.
As good as they are, I still reckon Counterparts from Lancashire are the best Rush tribute I have heard, even if visually Bravado are a little closer to the .......... real thing.
Look out for them, they are not done apparently and will be gigging again soon I hope.

Strange one, as from what I've gathered the Real Time has a deserved reputation for being one of the best-sounding venues on the small gig circuit.

For the record, I went to this and noted down the set-list as we went:

Anthem
Entre Nous
Something For Nothing
Chemistry
Red Barchetta
Jacob's Ladder
Prelude
Tom Sawyer

Far Cry
Circumstances
Deano drum solo
Passage to Bangkok
Natural Science
2112: Overture/Temples of Syrinx
By-Tor
Necromancer

Closer To The Heart
